The Brown County Democratic Party elected new officers at its reorganization meeting today. The officers were chosen by the county’s precinct committee-persons and vice-committee-persons to lead the party for the next four years.

The reorganization meeting was held at the County Office  Building and was open to the public. Approximately 30 people attended. Elected to serve were: County Chairperson Teri Bleuel; Vice-Chairperson Steve Gore; Secretary Michael Fulton; and Treasurer Linda Welty.

“This is an exciting time for our party,” said Bleuel, “and I am honored to serve. We are energized and ready to move Brown County forward by electing dedicated and hardworking public servants.”
Bleuel thanked retiring officers Jim Gredy, Mary Ann Walker, Evelyn Kent and Maxine Bailey for their years of hard work. “They have built a strong foundation for us all, and we will continue to build on it.”

Meetings of the Brown County Democratic Central Committee are open to the public and are held the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Brown County Office Building in Nashville.

The county’s annual Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on April 20 at the Seasons Conference Center in Nashville. It is open to the public. More information can be found at
