Hazel M. (Sizemore) Hubbard, age 78 passed away peacefully Friday morning, March 1, 2013 at her home in Northern Brown County. By her side, was her loving husband of 63 years, Odus Hubbard and her family. Odus and Hazel were married on February 21, 1950 in Manchester, Kentucky.
Hazel was born in Manchester, KY on August 10, 1934 to the late Millard and Lou Ellen (Napier) Sizemore. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and homemaker.
Hazel is survived by her husband; children: Sandra Sue Buckler of Greenwood, Melissa Ann (Jerry) Williams and Douglas Hubbard both of Trafalgar. She will be remembered by her daughter in law: Connie Hubbard of Trafalgar; 11 grandchildren: Kim Keller, Lisa Couch, Sabrina Mix, Kevin, Jeff & Eric Eisenmenger, Angela, Amanda, Michael & Matthew Hubbard and Christopher Williams; and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter: Darlene Eisenmenger; one son: Donald R. “Donnie” Hubbard; and siblings: Addie & Gracee Sizemore, Hiram, David, Sidney, Felix & Howard Sizemore.
Hazel enjoyed reading her Bible, playing her guitar and singing Christian songs. She loved spending time with her family and they enjoyed her cooking & baking, especially her homemade biscuits. Hazel also enjoyed traveling with her husband, canning, sewing & crocheting.
The Rev. Burt Mize will conduct a funeral service at 11 am Tuesday at Meredith – Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
