Due to the popularity of the current beginners’ class, two new creative writing courses will be taught at the Brown County Career Resource Center.
Pursue your dream of writing a book in the “Creative Writing I: Getting Started” class. This six-week course begins April 2 and will meet each Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Learn about getting motivated, developing characters and structuring plot, as well as ins and outs of the writing industry, from published author and award-winning journalist Linda Margison.
A second class, “Creative Writing 2: Developing Characters and Structuring Plot,” will be taught on Wednesdays, from 4 to 6 p.m., for six weeks beginning April 3. This is an intermediate course for the more experienced writer. Participants of this class must be approved in advance by the instructor.
Margison has a bachelor’s degree in English with a Journalism Emphasis, an MA in Ministry with a Youth Concentration and an MFA in Creative Writing. She is also the editor and publisher at TIBC Press.
Each course costs $75, due the first night of class. Please e-mail linda@tibcpress.com to register or call the CRC at 988-5880.
