An area of low pressure will move through the region beginning Monday night, March 4 and continue through Tuesday night, March 5. This storm system will have the potential to produce accumulating snowfall across portions of Central Indiana especially from the Indianapolis metro area northward. Precipitation may begin late on Monday night and early on Tuesday morning as a WINTRY MIX before changing over to snow by Tuesday evening.

At this time it appears that total snowfall across Central Indiana may range from 1-2 inches South, to 2-5 inches Central and 4-6 inches North along with some light icing. Small shifts in the track of the storm could significantly alter these totals.
A winter storm watch is in effect from Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning for areas of Central Indiana a WINTER STORM WATCH is in effect from Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning for areas of Central Indiana along and north of a Lafayette to New Castle line.
