About Us
This Is Brown County is an online, photography-based, news magazine about life in Brown County, Indiana. It is locally owned, locally operated and locally empowered, the creation of award-winning journalists Linda and Rodney Margison, formerly of the Brown County Democrat newspaper.
After much soul-searching with regard to their journalistic integrity, the Margisons made the tough decision to leave the newspaper in October 2009 and create a new product that fits both the Brown County lifestyle and a new media model.
With This Is Brown County, they will continue the tradition of providing news and information that is important to Brown Countians in an exciting digital format.
