Anna Jean (Duvall) Fleming, Feb. 23, 2010

Anna Jean Fleming, 82, of Columbus, passed away at 5:50 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at the Columbus Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Fleming was born in Brown County, on Jan. 22, 1928, the daughter of the late Jesse and Millie Coulter Duvall.

She married Paul Lewis “Red” Fleming on Aug. 5, 1950, in North Vernon, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 2008. They were married 57 years.

Mrs. Fleming was a homemaker and an avid gardener and enjoyed crafting.

She was a member of the Berean Bible Church of Columbus.

Mrs. Fleming is survived by two sons, Doug (Amber) Fleming and Darren Fleming, both of Columbus; a brother, Marce (Barb) Duvall of Columbus, and a granddaughter, Tiffany Fleming of Columbus.

Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Fleming was also preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Baker and Marilyn Timbrook and two brothers, Ralph and Robert Duvall.

The funeral service celebrating her life will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, at the Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th St. in Columbus, with the Rev. Jerry K. Day Sr. officiating.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.

Burial will be in the Garland Brook Cemetery.
