This Is Brown County

Steven R. Doty, 62, of Nashville, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, at 5:20 a.m. at the Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Mr. Doty was born in Columbus, May 12, 1947, the son of William B. and Mildred J. Black Doty.

He married Marzella Smith on Feb. 5, 1989.

Survivors include his children, Artina (Tom) Henderson, Steven R. Doty Jr. and William Doty, all of North Vernon; brother Lonnie (Linda) Doty of Columbus; sisters Sue Reeves of Nashville; Sandra (Don) Proffitt, Trudy Lucas, Debbie (David) Williams and Peggy (Tim) Hurt, all of Columbus, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Nashville, with military rites conducted by the Brown County Honor Guard.
