Frank Barmore Jr., 78, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, in Nashville.
A resident of Nashville, he was born on Nov. 27, 1932, in Marion County, to Frank and Rosella (Hoover) Barmore.
He married Julia (Andrews) Barmore on July 27, 1974. She survives in Nashville.
Other survivors include son Gary Barmore of Spring Branch, Texas, and daughter Pamela Brunson of Castle Rock, Colorado; stepdaughters, Denise Anderson, Vera Elliott and Deanna Peok, and stepson, Kerry Anderson; grandchildren, Josh Sanders, Sara Sanders, Hannah Smith, Elle Smith, Dylan Elliott, Ben Johnson, Jessica DuHamel, Chrysandra Brunson, Brittany Brunson, Andy Brunson, Max Brunson and Keaton Anderson, and two great-grandchildren, Brock and Kyliegh.
He was preceded in passing by his parents, brothers, Albert, Alfred, Clyde, Robert, Edward and Carl and sister Helen (Barmore) Anderson.
He graduated valedictorian of the 1950 Class of Carmel High School and served later in the U.S. Navy as a fire control tech, 3rd class. He was a retired maintenance foreman at Kroger Bakery after 28 years of service.
The Rev. Fred Haywood conducted a celebration of life service on Sunday, February 28, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin.
