Martha Beth Maggard Ridgley, March 3, 2010

Martha Beth Maggard Ridgley, 74, of Nashville, died at 12:48 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Brown County Health and Living Community.

Born in Warren County, July 4, 1935, Mrs. Ridgley was the daughter of Jake and Minnie Gill Maggard.

She married David J. Ridgley Oct. 7, 1958. He preceded her in death Dec. 27, 1985.

Survivors include her sons, Lorman M. “Junior” Ridgley of Columbus, Ronald J. Ridgley of Seymour and James L. Ridgley of Nashville; a sister, Shirley A. (Steve) Sawyer of Greenwood; a brother, Lee A. (Linda) Maggard of Kentucky; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Ridgley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Iky Dunn, Norma Elam and Wildena Havron; and brothers, William and Robert Maggard.

Mrs. Ridgley retired from Bean Blossom Animal Clinic and was a member of Nashville Christian Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 5, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike with Pastor Fred Harrison officiating. Calling will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
