Barbara E. Maffit, March 2, 2010

Barbara E. Maffit, 59, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at her residence in Morgantown. She was a former resident of Brown County.

She was born September 25, 1950, in Indianapolis to Dale C. and Billie M. (Cluggish) Heman.

Survivors include her mother, Billie M. (Cluggish) Heman of Indianapolis; two daughters, Becky E. (Jim) Dobbs of Nashville and Brandy E. (Darrel) Snider of Morgantown; one son, Bradley Maffit of Nashville; two sisters, Connie J. Brinson of Columbus and Sally A. Bramley of Pendleton; two brothers, Jan L. Heman of Greenfield and Robert C. Heman of Fishers; two grandchildren, Mitchell G. Robison and Leah R. Snider of Morgantown.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dale C. Heman, and a sister, Marilyn S. Strole.

She was a 1969 graduate of Marshall High School in Indianapolis.

She was a woman that loved God and His son, the Lord Jesus Christ. She was devoted to her family and she enjoyed music, pictures, needlepoint, cross stitching and many other arts and crafts.

The Rev. John Lynn will conduct a Celebration of Life Service at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 5, at Brown County Inn, 51 State Road 46 in Nashville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation and Personalization Center in Morgantown.
