    funeral patrioticFredrick L. Malan, 82, of Freetown, died at 10 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014, at his home. Born in Bloomington April 16, 1932, Mr. Malan was the son of Orville James and Mary Criss Malan.

    Mr. Malan was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and was a self-employed carpenter. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and farming.

    Survivors include his children, Vicky Wyatt of Nashville, Michael (Charrie) Malan of Columbus, and Jacqueline Malan of Nashville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara (Dale) Strahl of Columbus, Phyllis (Bob) McQueary of Columbus, Howard (Donna) Malan of Brown County, Fay Malan, Bob Malan of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Jack Malan of Columbus, and Karen (Tyrone) Streeval of Brown County; and many nieces; and nephews.     obit-kelleyStephen Doyle Kelley, 63 of Nashville, died Sunday August 17, 2014 in Brown County.  He was born November 4, 1950 in Hazard, Kentucky, the son of Donald R. and Betty R. (Hulett) Kelley.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran and had worked in the Oil Field Industry.

    Survivors include his daughter: Stephanie (Scott) Kelley Overton of Newburgh, Indiana;  two sons: Casen and Colton Kelley of Monticello, Utah; a granddaughter; Kennedy R. Wolf of Decatur, Texas as well as a brother, Shawn (Joann) Kelley of Nashville and sister, Robyn (Dave) Kelley Bartlett.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Deborah Suzanne Kelley.
